Academic Program

Guided by the divine motto “Gyanena Paramo Sewa” (Imparting Knowledge Is the Greatest Service) in letter and spirit, Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya, Bhaktapur (SAMB) is running under the aegis of Nepalese Army Welfare Fund. SAMB has been imparting quality education at an affordable cost to the children of both army personnel and civilians since it was founded as Suping Campus at Bhimphedi Makwanpur 39 years back. The institution is committed to ensuring that every pupil receives an education that enables them to attain the highest level of achievement possible. SAMB has provided congenial atmosphere of learning and growing for all the students hailing from every town and hamlet of the nation. Our students have achieved high recognition not only in academics but they have also excelled exceptionally well in many regional and national level competitions and tournaments in different games.

Suping Campus began the eventful journey in the field of education by conducting intermediate level classes in the Faculty of Humanities and introduced the Intermediate Level of Science in 2037 B.S. Since its cradle days, the campus has been successfully conducting the classes with cent percent results in the TU Board Exams. The Mahavidyalaya was shifted to its present location surrounded by beautiful landscape and greenery at Sallaghari in 2044 B.S. In the following years, Suping Multiple Campus was renamed as Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya (BSAMV) and since then the Mahavidyalaya is solely running under the auspices of the Nepalese Army Welfare Fund. The primary education was introduced in 2045 B.S. by enrolling students in class IV. The First Batch of SLC graduated in 2051 B.S. SAMB added one golden feather in its cap by starting the 10+2 Program in Management under the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) in 2060 B.S. From the year 2065 B.S., SAMB has become a full fledged member of HSEB by running the +2 Education in both Science and Humanities faculties as well. The Mahavidyalaya is moving steadily on the path of vertical growth by launching B.Sc. Program from the year 2069 BS and BBA from the year 2070 BS under the affiliation of TU, Nepal.
Our students have always strived for academic excellence and have come up with outstanding results in the Board Exams of SLC, HSEB and TU. Our present existence bears witness to our past successes. The tiny sapling planted in 2035 B.S. has grown into a mighty tree, spreading the seed of erudition far and wide. The fruit of long term vision has ignited the hundreds of students, the much needed spark to blaze a trail of success and achievement.

The Mahavidyalaya enrolls 60% of the students from the families of army personnel (both serving and former) and 40% from civilians in the process of admitting students in Grade VI, XI and Bachelor’s First Year i.e., B.Sc. and BBA.

Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya aims to provide world-class quality education to the children of Nepalese Army(In-service and Ex-Army personnel) and the children of civilian families in order to produce patriotic, dexterous, versatile, disciplined and dedicated human resources that can lead the country in various walks of life.
